The Porter Cable 7424xp is a dual action (random orbital) polisher. The Porter Cable 7424xp features an ergonomic design that maximizes comfort, along with a variable speed dial that adjusts the speed from 2,500 OPM to 6,800 OPM. This makes the Porter Cable 7424xp versatile enough to apply coats of wax, and powerful enough to remove paint defects such as swirl marks, oxidation, and scratches. The Porter Cable 7424xp includes a wrench, polishing pad, side handle, and owner's manual.
5 Inch Dual Action Flexible Backing Plate (Hook & Loop Velcro)
Featuring a robust urethane construction, the 5 Inch Dual Action Flexible Backing Plate is built to last thousands of hours of polishing. Hook and loop backing ensures the pad remains securely fastened. The 5-inch backing plate is recommended for buffing pads ranging in size from 5.25 to 6.5 inches. The recessed edge helps prevent accidental damage should the polisher get too close to an adjacent body panel.
